Walk of Hope 2014

In an effort to 'Give It Back to the Society', Inmages Studio has supported a charitable event known as #WalkofHope2014.

This event was organised by UBV Uttama Bodhi Vihara to raise funds and awareness for those who have lost their mobility after amputation.

Giving It Back to the Society

Following our last posting sometime in February 2014, Inmages Studio has been very tied on its schedule. We have completed several high profile corporate shoots as well as food photography for hotels and resorts.

While we reckoned that earning $$$ will pay off our bills and get business rolling, we have made a conscious decision that starting June 2014, Inmages Studio will shoot for well-deserving charity events at no cost! But, how does this work?

Here, if you happen to organise a charity event that requires photography, do drop us a proposal at kahpeng@inmagesstudio.com. We will run through your 'cause,' and with fingers crossed, we hope to come in as a photo partner to your charity event.

Just to share a little bit more on this topic, in a recent fund-raising event which was held in The Summit Subang USJ, Inmages Studio and DCS Entertainment had collaborated to provide photography services and clowning characters to add colours to the much anticipated Jom Durian VII charity event.

Clowning and costumed characters from DCS Entertainment had gone around making the audience laughed and entertained... Meanwhile, back at our instant printing station, Inmages Studio had taken shots of the audience enjoying themselves to the King of Fruits - Durians and posing for photos with the clowns.

With interesting props and photos instantly taken and printed, the prints were sold. All proceeds were channelled to the home, Children Wish Society Malaysia.

With this is being done to commemorate the First Anniversary of our studio, we hope that we would be able to contribute more towards charitable activities...

Until then, take care, God bless.

An unforgettable Thaipusam

An event that is widely celebrated in Sri Lanka, Thailand, Singapore, Myanmar and Malaysia, the Thaipusam festival is a Hindu celebration to mark Lord Murugan's birthday and his feat over the evil demon, Soorapadman.

Follow @InmagesStudio on our www.facebook.com/inmagesstudio or www.twitter.com/inmagesstudio  to view a series of photos taken at the auspicious event @Batu Caves Kuala Lumpur.

COCONUT Breaking: Hindus break coconuts before the Silver Chariot in a gesture to fulfill their vows made to Lord Murugan.

Heavenly Blessings : The image of Lord Murugan in the Silver Chariot travels through several routes in Kuala Lumpur before reaching @Batu_Caves where #Thaipusam's event proper takes place. In Kuala Lumpur, the chariot will leave Sri Mahamariamman Temple in Jalan Tun H. S. Leeto @Batu_Caves for the #Thaipusam. A day after the event, the chariot will return to where it came from.

Silver Chariot : Hindus will normally trail the chariot in a move to offer prayers to Lord Murugan.

Nothing could stop him: A Hindu devotee who is seen with an amputated arm carries milk pots on his back in a move to fulfill his vows at #Thaipusam in @Batu_Caves.

Heavenly tunes: A Hindu #Kavadi career dances to the drum tunes at #Thaipusam in @Batu_Caves.

Human Art: Devotees heading up to the Cave Temple in @Batu_Caves form an interesting pattern along the staircase.

Undivided faith: While some Hindu devotees carried heavy #Kavadis up the staircase @Batu_Caves, there are others who scaled the 200-odd staircase flights just to offer Lord Murugan prayers.

Day View from Cave Temple: Streets leading to and out of @Batu_Cave are swarmed with  sea of people. Many had turned up to offer prayers to Lord Murugan and fulfill their vows while others were there to experience the eye-opening event.

Evening View from Cave Temple: Streets leading to and out of @Batu_Cave are swarmed with sea of devotees. Many had turned up to offer prayers to Lord Murugan and fulfill their vows while others were there to experience the eye-opening event.

The Cave Temple: From the eve of #Thaipusam to its day actual, thousands of Hindus have scaled the 200-odd staircases just to offer prayers to Lord Murugan whose image is placed in the temple (in blue roof).

Big Feasts: While devotees break coconuts as part of their offerings to the Hindu deities, pigeons were seen happily feasting on the fresh coconut flesh.
